Tiyahna Carter-Murray is a Marriage and Family Therapy graduate student intern with The Meaningful Life Center, where she is dedicated to supporting individuals, couples, and families through compassionate, evidence-based care. She is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Marriage, Couple, and Family Therapy at Capella University, with an anticipated graduation in December 2026.
With a strong foundation in communication, systemic thinking, and culturally responsive practice, Tiyahna approaches therapy from a holistic, strength-based perspective. She is committed to helping clients navigate life transitions, relational challenges, and emotional stressors by fostering a safe and collaborative environment. Her clinical interests include family dynamics, trauma-informed care, multicultural identity, and enhancing communication and connection within relationships. She is developing a specialty in Solution-Focused Therapy and is passionate about helping clients identify strengths, build on existing resources, and move toward achievable, meaningful change.
Tiyahna brings previous experience in behavioral health, education, and community advocacy, allowing her to connect with clients of diverse backgrounds with empathy and respect. She integrates systemic assessment, solution-focused techniques, and a culturally humble framework to empower clients to create sustainable growth.
Dedicated to both personal and professional development, Tiyahna is passionate about promoting emotional wellness and strengthening families across her community. She is honored to serve clients at The Meaningful Life Center as she continues her development as an emerging marriage and family therapist.
