Katia Arruda (she/her/hers), MS, LMHC, CCTP is a Licensed Mental Health Therapist and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional at The Meaningful Life Center and has earned a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. Katia is tri-lingual (English/Portuguese/Spanish) and has a background working with children, adolescents, and adults. Katia builds collaborative relationships with her clients and empowers them to explore their values, goals, increase self-awareness, pursue their passions, and strengthen their relationships. Drawing from a diverse background, Katia integrates various therapeutic approaches like acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive processing therapy (CPT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and mindfulness-based techniques. Katia’s areas of focus include anxiety, depression, grief/loss, identity development, relationship concerns, and trauma.
