Gabriela “Gaby” Rodriguez-Soto (she/her/hers), MA, is a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern at The Meaningful Life Center. With a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Gaby empowers clients to become the authors of their life story by providing a safe and inclusive space for them to explore their past, present, and future concerns. She seeks to build meaningful and collaborative relationships with her clients as she walks alongside them to explore their life experiences, challenges, and goals.
Her areas of focus include but are not limited to ADHD, depression, anxiety, trauma, identity development, low self-esteem/confidence, stress management, racial stress/trauma, career exploration, couple’s work, and grief/loss. Gaby utilizes a holistic approach to counseling to best match each client’s unique life experiences and goals. Her therapeutic work is founded on person-centered therapy, existential, multicultural, and psychodynamic perspectives while weaving in aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, strength-based therapy, and the Gottman Method for couple’s work.
Prior to joining the Meaning Life Center, Gaby provided counseling to traditional and non-traditional students through individual, group therapy, and crisis interventions within a college counseling center. Her non-clinical experience includes career counseling and advocating for students with disabilities in the college campus setting. Outside of therapy, Gaby enjoys video games, reading endless fantasy books, spending time with family and friends, and snuggling with her Great Pyrenees and Golden Retriever.
