Erika Franklin (She/her/hers) is a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern at The Meaningful Life Center. She received her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. Her prior education includes a Bachelors of Science in Psychology. Her prior experience working in acute care settings helped Erika recognize the growing need for Mental Health care in underserved communities. Erika is experienced in working in residential settings with adults whose lived experiences range from trauma, substance use, depression and anxiety. Erika’s growing areas of interest include trauma, grief, sex counseling, and working with those in the LGBTQ+ community. Erika’s therapeutic approach is client centered which incorporates existential, psychodynamic, strength based and mindfulness strategies. She understands the importance of finding a meaningful life and empowering clients to identify their strengths and values. Erika was born in Orlando, Florida and enjoys spending time with her dog, playing video games, and cooking.
