My name is Christina Williams, and I’m currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Bethune-Cookman University, with a concentration in Marriage and Family Counseling. My passion for mental health and healing runs deep, and my ultimate goal is to become a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) so I can help families build stronger, healthier connections.
Before beginning my graduate studies, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Central Florida. There, I also minored in Criminal Justice and completed a certificate in Behavioral Forensics. That academic foundation gave me a deeper understanding of human behavior, the complexities of trauma, and the ways in which early environments can shape a person’s life.
I currently work with children, and that experience has been both eye-opening and deeply personal. I’ve seen how many children carry emotional wounds from unstable or broken home environments. It’s made me realize that to truly help a child, we often have to help their entire family system. That belief is what drives me toward specializing in marriage and family counseling, I want to be a part of the solution that keeps families together, improves communication, and creates safe emotional spaces for everyone, especially the youngest and most vulnerable members.
I believe in the power of therapy to transform not just individuals, but entire households. My vision is to guide families through their toughest moments, help them rebuild trust, and support them in becoming more emotionally connected and resilient. Whether I’m working with a child who’s struggling in silence or helping parents navigate conflict, my goal is to be a compassionate, informed advocate who makes a meaningful difference.
