Alexandra (Alex) McCrary (She/Her/Hers) is a Student Counselor at The Meaningful Life Center. She is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Rollins College. Alexandra earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Rollins College, with a research focus on adolescent attachment and the coming-out process for LGBTQIA+ individuals.
Alexandra has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in various contexts, and is especially passionate about serving the LGBTQIA+ community, performers and creatives, and individuals navigating interpersonal conflicts and identity-related concerns. With years of experience in both professional theater and early childhood education, Alexandra brings creativity, playfulness, and empathy to her work as a counselor. Drawing from a foundation of psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, narrative, and existential approaches, Alexandra tailors the counseling experience to fit each client’s unique needs and goals.
Her areas of clinical interest include identity exploration, interpersonal dynamics, sexuality work, and supporting individuals within LGBTQIA+ populations.
